Therapeutic Touchstone & The Pebble Trail Programme
CPD 10 hours (6 hrs Training; 2 hrs supervision; 2 hrs reflective review)
Training suitable for qualified play therapists, expressive arts therapists and child psychotherapists.
The Therapeutic Touchstone (Prendiville, 2014) provides a protocol for letting a child client know what their therapist knows about the child’s life story so far. It uses the safe distance of projective play using symbol and metaphor to tell the child’s story. The Windfall Centre’s ‘Pebble Trail Programme’ is an innovative therapeutic life story approach, incorporating the Therapeutic Touchstone story into a long-term programme of play therapy or child psychotherapy.
