BAPT CPD Endorsement Scheme – 

BAPT are pleased to introduce the CPD and Supervision Training Endorsement Application process. To be eligible for endorsement under BAPT’s CPD Endorsement Scheme, a CPD activity must provide an opportunity for the professional development of qualified Play Therapists. Participation must be appropriate for qualified therapists, supervisors, and trainers. The activity should present an opportunity for the maintenance, improvement or development of their professional knowledge and/or performance. The Collaboration of Outdoor Play Therapists

For qualified or student play therapists or those with an equivalent and appropriate creative arts  therapeutic training:-

Certificate of Best Practice in Outdoor Play Therapy (L1)

Autumn 2021 – Our level 1 certificate course consists of an outdoor day and 3 units of experiential online learning

 plus submitted evidence of learning.

(For overseas applicants, all 4 units will be online)

UNIT 1. Connecting with Nature: Understanding our own attachment to natural places and spaces

(online Mon 6th Sept 7.00 – 9.00pm BST) For this first unit we invite you to join us face 2 face (Covid restrictions allowing) to reflect on your connection to nature. We will look at the idea of using a regular ‘sit spot’ and consider attachment patterns, our embodied self, place attachment, and nature as a democratic space. Currently booking at:

UNIT 2. Places and spaces – Mon Sept 20th, 7.00 – 9.00pm

Will consider risk assessment, setting up, boundaries, transitions and accompanying staff.

UNIT 3. Basic Safety – Mon Oct 4th 7.00 – 9.00pm

Looks at permissions, insurance, Health and Safety (including procedures for Covid-19) first aid and safety kit, working procedures – what to do if!

UNIT 4” We Stand on Solid Ground” – Mon Oct 18th 7.00 – 9.00pm

Considers underpinning theory, trauma and development, attachment theory, Axline’s principles, EPR paradigm of developmental play and other influences.

Unit 1 may be taken as a stand-alone CPPD day @ £50
