Jewish Women’s Aid – Qualified Play Therapist

Jewish Women’s Aid is the only charity in the UK working with Jewish women, and their children, affected by domestic violence and abuse. We run a helpline, client support service, counselling service and education, training and awareness raising programmes.

We are recruiting a:

QUALIFIED  PLAY THERAPIST

21 hours per week

30K Pro Rata

Based in North London

You’ll have an exciting opportunity to build and deliver JWA’s children’s service. You will work in the wider community to provide individual therapeutic support for children affected by domestic abuse, to support mothers, and organise a range of play activities and outings. You’ll also be ensuring that relevant child protection and data collection procedures are followed.

We are looking for an experienced children’s therapist (Play therapist) who is enthusiastic, proactive and creative. You will have a relevant therapeutic qualification and experience of working with children, possibly including running groups. You’ll be passionate about the idea of supporting children and young people to come to terms with their experience of domestic abuse. Knowledge and understanding of domestic violence and the Jewish community is also essential.
