Professional Conduct Panel Lay Members (voluntary role) and Professional Conduct Panel Members (BAPT Registered Play Therapists only - voluntary role)

BAPT is recruiting Lay and Panel Members to participate on the Professional Conduct Panel and supporting the Chair of Professional Conduct to deliver an increasingly efficient service in the management of complaints.
BAPT is keen and committed to the involvement of members, services users and the public in the development and provision of Play Therapy. One way in which this can happen is through Lay and Panel Members sitting on its Board of Directors and committees. The role of Lay and Panel Member helps to:
· Promote openness and transparency in its business.
· To act as a critical friend to Professional Conduct Panel, assisting them in their duty of public protection and good governance.
· To ensure public protection.
Having Lay and Panel Members on groups and committees is only one method of public engagement and BAPT is committed to using a variety of methods to reach across the Play Therapy Community and the Public.
