We encourage members of the British Association of Play Therapists to contribute freely to the Discussion Group and Chat Room at www.bapt.uk.com site as long as they do so in a responsible fashion and show respect for others. These rules have been developed to maintain a standard of conduct and the British Association of Play Therapists will enforce them. You must accept these rules before proceeding by clicking on the button at the end of the rules.
These rules should be read with our Web Site Terms and Conditions of Use, the latter of which also apply to use of the Discussion Group and Chat Room, use is only authorised on this basis.
Liability and Indemnity
You join and participate in the British Association of Play Therapists Discussion Group or the Chat Room rules at your own risk.
The British Association of Play Therapists shall not be liable for any damages or losses which result to you from your use of or participation in the Discussion Group or the Chat Room rules.
Comments posted on the Discussion Group or the Chat Room may at our discretion be removed, whether in breach of the rules or not, without further obligation or notice to you.
We do not accept liability for any libellous postings to the Discussion Group or Chat Room, or any which are illegal or breach copyright, database or other related rights. We reserve the right to identify you in response to a court order or threat of legal action, where it is legal to do so.
By joining the Discussion Group or Chat Room you agree to indemnify the British Association of Play Therapists for any damages, costs and expenses, that accrue as a result of or arising out of your activities on the Discussion Group or Chat Room including, but not limited to, any claims for violation of any copyright, trademark, or protected material, or any claim of defamation, slander and libel.
The following restrictions apply to the use of the Discussion Group and Chat Room and any information posted on it:
No profanity or obscenities of any kind, even disguised with asterisks.
No abuse of others privacy.
No personal attacks on other participants.
No promotion or facilitation of illegal activities.
Defamatory, obscene, indecent, lewd, pornographic, violent, abusive, insulting, threatening and harassing comments are not permitted.
No impersonation of other participants or public figures.
No advertising or marketing of any kind, including non-profit organisations.
No third party copyright material should be posted. Use links instead of quotes from sources rather than copyright the material.
The British Association of Play Therapists will enforce these rules. At the sole discretion of the British Association of the Play Therapists violators of these rules may:-
be issued with a warning;
have access suspended to the Members Area;
be locked out of the Members Area;
have their membership of the British Association of Play Therapists terminated
